Applying an enema is an ancient practice, before they used to use the bladders of certain animals, like sheep in order to hold the different liquids that were used. Nowadays we are able to use many different options to hold the liquids and help ourselves in applying the enema.
The colon is a very important organ and in Ayurveda during a Pancha Karma, they say that the enema or basti, as it is called in Ayurveda, accounts for about 50% of the treatment.
Make sure that you do not disregard or avoid this practice due to any of these reasons:
NONE of the above are true, an enema is an easy job, it is for every person because every person has a large intestine. You will not have to deal with anything that involves handling disgusting residues and it will be done like in 5 minutes or so. Preparation might take a little bit longer, but you will see that it is actually fun to do.
This process, including the enema and the whole Self Pancha Karma works amazing if done twice a year, during spring and the fall.
I wish you a great path in life,
