Developing Emotional Anchors

We don’t think about pride this way, because we tend to mix pride with arrogance.

Arrogance is when we think that we are better than someone else. Pride is a great feeling that we have about who we are, what we have achieved, or towards someone we love or what they have achieved.

Embodying pride is very important because it gives us emotional anchors to hold on to.

Everything could fall apart around you but what cannot be taken away from you is what you have achieved that you are proud of. For example, saving myself from the trauma, the person that I have become, my TED talk, my best-selling book, and more.

The more emotional anchors you have the more stability you will find at times of turbulence.
