Embodiment explained

The body language that we once possessed gave us the benefits we are now craving.  It’s already inside us. We just need to come back home to our bodies. and to tap into its wisdom. Let’s really land into it in an embodied way.

To create a real shift in your life, you need to engage the body and change how you embody life. We all came into this world embodying our true selves, with no limitations. We were born with our full potential. It’s what came after that taught us limiting beliefs and created the somatic blocks that might be preventing you from living to your fullest potential. We are embodied as the sum of the experiences we have lived. Your current embodiment doesn’t have to be the final stop – you can shift it! You can come back home to your true nature.

Watch this video and notice from the 1-min mark when Clark Kent passes through the door embodied as a weak and scattered man who lacks confidence. He then switches into Superman and completely changes his embodiment and presence. He adds elegance and intention (example of our embodied power) as well as determination, confidence, self-worth, pride, and drive. You will learn how to embody these elements in the 4th chapter of this program. His tone of voice changes as well and deepens. His whole being transforms. Even the look in his eyes. 

This is a great metaphor for what happened to us human beings over the decades. When we reflect on past generations, we tend to consider them elegant (and sometimes stiff). The way Superman is embodied is how people used to live in their bodies during that era. Think of those films with kings, queens, and lavish balls – how they carried themselves, spoke, and behaved.

The way Kent Clark carries himself and feels about himself is the way most people are embodied and feel about themselves these days – stressed, hunched over, lacking resilience, presence, and even confidence.

Of course, it is an exaggeration… but if you really think about it, the body language we used to have, gave us the benefits we now crave. Changing our embodiment changes how we feel about ourselves and life. 

Holding elegance in the body, for example, is not just a posture. It’s a Power Pose that changes the chemistry in the body in just 2 minutes. This changes our behaviour and the results we experience. 

It’s enough to compare the old Sean Connery James Bond with the Daniel Craig version to see the changes in embodiment over the years. After all, movies reflect the times they were filmed in and give us a glimpse of life during another era.

Sean Connery/ 1960s – charming, seductive, slow, soft, with tons of sabrosura, and very elegant. 

Daniel Craig/ 2000s – edgy, intentional, sharp, driven, fast, mysterious, and more aggressive. 


What was acceptable in the 60s might not pass the #MeToo movement today. Those times were more naive.

How we feel and think changes how we carry ourselves, and how we carry ourselves also changes how we think and feel.

Our embodiment is an extremely important part of our emotional resilience. How we meet the circumstances depends a lot on how we feel about ourselves and how we are embodied. 

We can shift things in our lives by shifting our embodiment, yet it’s important to remember that it’s not a slapped-on solution but a deep internal process of realignment from the inside out.
