How to ensure well being while practicing

The Emotional Resilience Essentials is an extensive program that’s crafted for anyone who wishes to elevate their performance and develop an unshakeable core. 

You will notice that we keep repeating certain concepts, mainly to reinforce the message and allow it to land deeper. You will hear something in a video, then it will be repeated in written text, and so on. By repeating you absorb more of the program. We can only take in a small % at a time:

“People do NOT remember 10% of what they read, 20% of what they see, 30% of what they hear.” – Work Learning Research.  

Also, each person learns in a different way- some need visuals, others need to feel it to get it, some need it more to be cognitive, while others are more somatic, and some are a mix. This program was designed to include all these learning styles to support the growth of each participant.

The somatic practices that you will learn in this program are not something that you do once and forget about. They are a continual process of repetition that builds a powerful habit over time. It is a lifelong process of developing and sustaining emotional resilience. 

There are exercises you will want to come back to daily or all year long, some you will want to do once in a while, and others you will do once and never come back to. We leave it up to you to create the routine that’s right for you with the plan we’ve provided.

It is also recommended to do these exercises with an accountability buddy. This creates a support system around us, builds accountability, and helps us stay committed to a healthy and resilient lifestyle. Inside this program, you will find very powerful somatic exercises. Each exercise has a different intention and will bring out of you something unique. This guide aims to help you pick exercises based on what you need- insightful, soothing, triggering, or invigorating. It will also help you prepare better by making emotional space when taking on the triggering exercises, by allowing more time to process and integrate.  

  • Soothing – exercises are best used to relax, ground yourself, and for developing self-compassion. 
  • Triggering – exercises are best used to bring to the surface unprocessed/uncomfortable emotions and deepen into your somatic/ancestral lineage and somatic imprint impacting the results in your life. 
  • Insightful – exercises that will help you expand your somatic awareness. 
  • Invigorating  – exercises are meant to energize your body and motivate you.

 

Each person arrives with a different starting point, a different level of somatic awareness, a different level of experience with personal growth and development practices, and a different level of results. All of which determine how you work your way through the program. For example, if you have never felt into your ancestral line, the exercise of feeling into it can trigger a lot of feelings for you. You will then need time to digest and integrate these parts back into your body and self. If you have done a lot of work around your ancestral line, this might be a fun walk in the park. 

It’s REALLY IMPORTANT you will give yourself the time needed between exercises, based on what your body will communicate with you that it needs. It’s a process, not a race.

Be gentle, patient, and compassionate towards yourself. 

But also, be sure to not escape any uncomfortable emotions by stopping taking the program.
