Most women struggle with this somatic practice and find it hard to see their own beauty. According to a study, only 4% of women today worldwide consider themselves beautiful. What about the other 96%?
We can see how the culture of advertising and the false body image has impacted women’s ability to love themselves, mixed with trauma passed on from past generations. According to another study, more than 70% of all adults in 24 countries suffered some kind of trauma.
Our societies are riddled with trauma causing the feminine embodied wisdom to be lost rather than being transferred from generation to generation. And we can change that!
So let’s see how your body reacts to this practice and what your starting point is. Pay attention to what goes on inside you and notice if you can go there, or if instead you are in internal judging conversation with yourself.
Don’t forget to try this with elegance embodied and without, and notice how it impacts your ability to go there.
I recommend doing this practice a few times, each time focusing on one thing you want to pay attention to, i.e. can I surrender? What happens when I add/remove elegance? Is it hard/easy for me? What do I feel when I go there?
